The Cube

Client: The Cube, Birmingham
Project: Exterior Facade Clean

Concrete spillages caused damage to the facade of the new £100 million pound development The Cube.  The spillage caused etching to glazing and anodized aluminium panels.

We had a two-week deadline. During that time we worked continuously with two teams working from two S85 boom lifts; two teams working from two LEO 30T Spider lifts; and two teams of four working from the onsite mast climbers.

Two rope access teams were also used to tackle the tricky elevation overlooking Birmingham’s Canal network. All of this was co-ordinated on site by our operations manager to ensure the deadline was achieved.

Nottinghamshire County Council

Client: Nottinghamshire County Council
Project: Window and Glass Cleaning

The contract requires the cleaning of windows at council owned buildings including libraries and care homes.

This high profile, large scale contract has been secured for four years and involves co-ordinating work on 90 sites with various cleaning frequencies.

We utilise both conventional window cleaning methods and the hot water system for the reach and wash pole system, which has proved invaluable.

Such has been the success of this initial contract that we were awarded an additional eight senior schools.

We were also requested to undertake hi level deep cleaning to the kitchens within the aforementioned schools and on the strength of our attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness, we continue to clean these on a regular basis with regular complements.

C.P.L Interiors

Client: C.P.L Interiors
Project: Builder’s Clean

We have recently completed a large builder’s clean for a shop fitting company (C.P.L Interiors) with just one days notice to co-ordinate the labour and works.

We sent a team of 32 operatives over a weekend, each working a 10-hour shift to ensure handover was achieved on the Monday morning. All work on site was co-ordinated by our team leaders, ensuring maximum productivity within tight deadlines.

Spannet

Client: Spannet
Project: Exterior Cladding Clean

Using our water fed pole system we cleaned the cladding on a newly built warehouse, avoiding the need to hire any access machinery and the use of pressure washers.

We avoid using pressure washers in certain circumstances because they do not always give an even enough clean. By using our pole fed washer system we can be sure of the quality of the cleaning.

We were able to clean 25,000 square metres (269,000 square feet) in under a week.

University Of Birmingham

Client: University Of Birmingham
Project: Carpet and Upholstery Clean

We cleaned 800 chairs at Pritchatts Park, a main student campus site within the grounds of the University of Birmingham.

At very short notice, cleaning took place over the course of a single day. A number of our specialist cleaning teams were deployed to ensure the upholstery was not only clean, but dry prior to use.

The work was structured to ensure tight deadlines were met. To coincide with this, two of our other teams were engaged in carpet cleaning in a number of buildings and facilities on the Jarrett Hall campus.

Again, with a very tight deadline, a large proportion of student accommodation blocks and communal areas were cleaned and sanitised prior to use.

Perry Barr Stadium

Client: Perry Barr Stadium
Project: Contract Cleaning

This multi-purpose stadium is home to the country’s finest speedway team and doubles up as the midlands premier ‘night out’ whereby greyhound racing is observed.

This iconic city centre landmark at the heart of the midlands is also a popular venue for corporate entertainment and parties for all occasions.

Our hot water-fed pole system eliminates the risk of falls from ladders and the building also benefits from the reach and wash system, as the window frames are now cleaned as well.

We are also able to access the high level executive corporate boxes from the safety of the ground. Perry Barr stadium have also benefitted commercially and have been able to reduce their costs significantly.

NHS Trust

Client: Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust
Project: Window and Glass Cleaning

We were awarded a five-year window cleaning contract for Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust. The importance of cleanliness is paramount.

Our understanding of these sites is second to none and the work is co-ordinated so that it allows the hospitals to run at full capacity, without interruption.

Various methods of cleaning are utilised, including rope access, reach and wash poles and access by mobile elevated platforms. Consideration of sensitive areas is taken into account and courtesy and professionalism within this public sector site is adhered to at all times.

On the strength of our reputation for consistently delivering high standards, we have also secured the window cleaning contract for the Birmingham Dental Hospital.

Moss Construction

Client: Moss Construction
Project: Builder’s Clean

A builder’s clean was completed on a new build project – Levine’s Furniture Store.

In this case the contractors work continued after the carpets were fitted, leaving them in a condition that could have prevented completion of the project.

Art Cleaning was called in on an emergency basis to put things right, and we were able to perform a general builders clean and specifically clean the carpets to the point where the customer was happy to move in to the building.

Trinity Estates

Client: Trinity Estates
Project: Contract Cleaning Services

We provide a contract cleaning service for Trinity Estates in Moseley, at a five-floor block of flats called ‘The Edge’.

The services we provide are:

  • Window cleaning – using our water fed pole system.
  • Communal area cleaning.
  • Hard floor cleaning and maintenance.
  • Low level maintenance of issues like dead light-bulbs and rubbish in areas not normally cleaned.

We use our unique water fed pole system to clean their windows. We are able to clean the windows more cost effectively than hiring access machinery every six weeks. That saves around £300 per clean – which equates to a saving each year of £2,600.
